OASIS® GROWER SOLUTIONS PRESENTS SHORT COURSE Q&A SESSIONS WITH OFA CHIEF ECONOMIST, CHARLIE HALL (Kent, OH) –
For years, OASIS® Grower Solutions (OGS) has been touting the story of how its full line of growing media, hydration products and postharvest items help dramatically reduce grower shrink – even coining the popular phrase “Shrink the Shrink”. And for years they’ve offered plenty of expert opinions on how to help growers do just that. At this year’s OFA Short Course, in Columbus, Ohio, the company has taken its message to new heights by enlisting the respected voice of OFA Chief Economist, Dr. Charlie Hall.
No stranger to the nuances associated with shrink, Dr. Hall has been imparting his knowledge to help growers operate more efficiently and profitably for decades. And the connection to OGS is a “no brainer”, according to OGS Marketing Manager, Nathan Keil.
“Our goal is to provide an exclusive opportunity for growers to not only learn more about our shrink-reducing products, but to better understand that what we’ve been telling them is firmly rooted in what Dr. Hall has been preaching for years,” proclaims Keil. “Charlie was such a natural fit for our message and our brand that we wanted to bring our two worlds together for the benefit of growers…at the biggest event of the year,” concludes Keil.
Set up as three, informal Q&A sessions, Dr. Hall will answer questions from OGS booth visitors – providing his unique and experienced perspective on such topics as greenhouse production costs, the impact of today’s economic conditions on growers, and ultimately, how growers can shrink their shrink.
Scheduled to run from 10am - 11:30am on July 14-16, Short Course attendees can visit the OASIS® Grower Solutions booth #1147 to engage Dr. Hall in these exclusive mini-conferences. Standing-room-only space is limited, so be sure to let OGS know you’ll be attending by emailing nagrowerinfo@smithersoasis.com to pre-register. The first 150 attendees will receive a free electronic compilation of some of Dr. Hall’s most popular and relevant articles, blogs and vlogs.
